I HAVE OSTEOSARCOMA. AND IT'S A BAD THING. IT HURTS REAL BAD AND IT IS A TUMOR. I HAVE A KNOT IN MY LEG ON THE BACK THAT WE JUST NOTICED. I WANT TO GET ALL BETTER REAL FAST. I WANT THIS CANCER TO GO AWAY FOR GOD AND NEVER COME BACK. I LOVE ST. JUDE. A BUNCH OF PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN CARE OF ME...DOCTORS AND NURSES.
EVERY NIGHT WE PRAY TO MAKE ME BETTER. JESUS IS HELPING US TO BE SAFE AND GET TAKEN CARE OF . AND I LOVE THE KIND OF DAYS WHEN I'M DOING GOOD. AND I WOULD LOVE IT MOST OF ALL IF I WAS ALREADY AT HOME FOR GOOD.
AND I WANT MY HAIR BACK AGAIN REAL QUICK SO I'LL LOOK LIKE A GIRL AGAIN AND NOBODY WOULD CALL ME A BOY.
I WANT TO GO HOME FOR A REALLY LONG TIME, BUT I CAN'T BECAUSE I HAVE TO FINISH MY SURGERIES. BUT I CAN REAL SOON SO I CAN BE HAPPIER AND IT CAN BE MORE FUNNER. I LOVE MY SURGEONS AND DOCTORS AND NURSES A BUNCH. BUT I FEEL REAL SAD THAT I HAVE CANCER. I WOULD WANT TO GO HOME, BUT I HAVE TO STAY HERE TO GET ALL BETTER.

BIG CHANGES AT THE TAYLOR HOUSEHOLD...

During the summer Doug and I went through the MAPP classes to become foster/adoptive parents for the state. We had visited an adoption agency earlier in the year, but just could not get over how unreal it costs to adopt through an agency. We are talking many, many, many thousands of dollars, so we decided that we would get dually certified for foster or adoptive, but we were definitely leaning more toward adoption. We have actually inquired about several children that are freed for adoption, but there always seems to be some obstacle in the way.

Well, we are now active foster parents to A 2 year old and a 4 year old, and let me tell you it is absolutely madness at our house. I would not trade it for anything in the world. It has been a long time since we have heard sibling rivalry and spats. It is so funny because Austin is now 12 and the little ones are ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with him. If he sits down he has one on each leg. They are so sweet with him, and he is with them, even if by 8 each night he is readly to lock himself up in his room for a moment of sanity.

The 2 year old wakes up BOUNCING and goes to sleep BOUNCING!!! It is such a blessing to have these additions to our family, even though it is a temporary situation. It is so great to hear the laughter and excitement about life that these 2 precious kids have. Austin is LOVING being a big brother again, even if they do get on his nerves just a tad. Doug, Austin, and myself fall into bed each night exhausted, but so thankful that the Lord has brought these kids to us, if even for a little while.

I know Ashley is looking down and probably laughing her head off. I have a feeling she might have even put a little bug in God's ear and helped pick out our new additions. We had talked about adoption even before Ashley was sick, and it was something she wanted us to do. I remember when she was really sick in the last few months of her life, when she would sit in Doug's lap and look at all the kids on the Internet who had been freed for adoption by all of the different state agencies. She would pick out potential kids for us all the time. That is why I know she had a hand in this.

God is good...all the time
Val, Doug, Aus, and the boys
