Welcome to our Adoption Web Page. It was originally set up in October of 2003 to keep people updated on our adoption experience in the Ukraine. We have been home a while now and update several times a month fo those faithful readers who might wonder how we are doing.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009 9:00 AM CDT SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER
Bella has successfully navigated the first grade and we could not be prouder.
She learned so much this past year in Mrs. Berg’s class at Windsor Elementary.
Yesterday she had an hour of school and got her report card. Bella’s report card was good. She really does well in reading, writing and spelling. Math at times can be hard for her. We will practice with the math flash cards and work on money and time over the summer. We have a play therapist appointment next week and then we will probably stop those for now. Bella’s behavior did improve at school, but at home we still struggle at times.
Bella and Lady spent yesterday afternoon with grandma and I picked them up after I got done with work.
I dropped Bella off at YMCA Camp Winnebago this morning. She went there last year and really enjoyed it so we expect she will have fun again this year.
This Sunday is Bella’s Ballet recital. The dress rehearsal is Saturday morning. Grandma and Carl will be attending the performance and then having dinner at our house.
After that our summer is pretty much wide open to whatever opportunity knocks.
We are not participating in swimming, dance, summer ball or tumbling this summer. We hope to play at the park, go to the library, put up our pool and ride our bikes and RELAX.
We will be hosting our July get together on the 2nd, going on a family vacation to Adams Friendship and attending the air show in late August. Nothing else is on our agenda at this time.
Our princess will turn 7 on August 8th and then start 2nd grade at the end of August.
Time sure flies when you are having fun!
