Surprise!!!!!!!!!!! I have to say that it has been forever and a day since my last update. I apologize, I have no computer at my house and it is alot of work to get these girls around. We moved into a new house at the beginning of May, a huge 4 beroom that looks like a haunted house. We love it! The living room, playroom, bathroom and the 4th bedroom (which we have empty since its downstairs) are all connected and have french pocket doors closing the rooms off from the kitchen and away from the stairs and doors. I also bought a van this last week.I sold my car and got a 2003 Grand Caravan Sport. It makes things much easier. Now I can fit my son in the car with the girls at the same time. We have been in and out of the hospital alot. Olivia has been in twice and Gianna three times. One of Gianna's stays was a fluke fever, though and she was discharged after like three days. Olvia was septic twice (infection in the blood) once with some blood pressure issues, and the last time she had a virus and had to be admitted so that she could get her meds iv. Gianna was septic twice (not counting the fluke fever), and the last time we actually came in because her dad broke the tubing of her central line, and then we found out that the cultures drawn in clinic the day before were positive and sh would have to had come down anyway. They took Gianna's central line out and are not puting it back in. She is eating great and tolerating her ng tube feedings. She is gaining weight, growing some hair (though she is still legally bald), and she is getting lots of teeth. She is also almost off of all her meds. She is only left on bactrim, to protect her from pneumonia, and megace to make her eat. Olivia is still fighting the graft versus host disease. It seems to be under control, but then has flare ups, or what we think are probobly flare ups. She has some rashy areas on her arms and legs at times. She has alot of loose stools, like 4 a day, and there are days where she seems to have a virus, throwing up and severe diarrhea. You just never know if it is the GVHD or if she is sick. She is still on alot of meds and has a public health nurse come at least 3 times per week. We go to Iowa city at least every other week sometimes every week, and we have labs done at home on occasion. Her blood pressure continues to give us problems, too. We keep fiddling with her steroid dosage and her cyclosporin, and she may have to have an endoscopy soon, because she has been throwing up alot recently and more diarrhea than usual. She still is on CVN and lipids at night, through her central line. Mia is walking very well, and eating all table food. Gianna is mostly just sitting and playing, but seems to be trying to do more, as is Olivia. Olivia will pull up on me by grabbing my shirt. Gianna is also trying to eat some finger food. All in all we are still doing pretty well. I am not back to work yet, would love to be, hoping sometime next near. Dad's still around, working a new job right now. We're getting along beautifully as usual. I'm going to try to get some pics on the web page, too. I will try to keep updating, but it is really hard to get to. Thanks for checking!
