The family would like to thank everyone for all their calls, prayers, gifts, and acts of kindness. Please continue to pray as this will be a very long process. Through all of this we have seen God's hand at work and have many things for which to be thankful. It is a miracle that Sara Beth and George are even alive. We know that we are in His hands as is Sara Beth and He has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. We will try to keep this page updated so that you can know how to pray for Sara Beth's recovery.

Saturday, August 11, 2007 12:54 AM CDT Hey guys! This is Sara Beth. I'm so sorry that it's been SOOO LONG since this page has been updated! I suppose we haven't said much because I'm in college...enough said! haha. No, seriously, God remains working in my life as we are still able to see small improvements over time.
I changed my college major from nursing to occupational therapy. Hopefully, one day I will be able to treat hurting children with the love and care that has been displayed towards me through the medical staff. I am presently working towards attaining 90 prerequisite hours at ABAC before applying for an occupational therapy master's program. The state law mandates that all professional occupational therapists have a master's degree. It will take loads of prayer and an enormous amount of hard work to even apply for this program at MCG. However, I feel that God is leading me in this direction right now.
I still see doctors in Atlanta as much as I can squeeze them into my busy schedule. My speech pathologist, Dr. Hartley, is still helping me adjust to my left neglect. Other problems that need prayer include the tremor in my left side (particularly in my left hand) and difficulties relating to staying focused with my schoolwork.
Thanks for everything that each of you has done for me, especially your prayers! God has brought me such a long way, and I continue to feel His work in my life!
love... Sara Beth
