Hi Everyone...
Sorry we have not sent out updates, but over the past

few months we have moved & settled into a new

home. We Love our new home - we are in a great

neighborhood & are enjoying the extra space. The

move has been good for all of us. We needed that

excitement in our lives ( I don't know about the

excitement of packing & unpacking - oh my gosh we

had so much "stuff" in our other home - but we got it all

moved!!!!!!)
Austin's update... Austin has started on his new meds

prescribed by Dr. Boles-the Dr. in California - and they

seem to have helped some. His episodes are about

every 14 days. This past episode, he went 16

days...each day makes such a difference & we are so

thankful!!! But he was very sick this past episode, not

only with the normal sickness of the Mitochondrial

disease, but he contracted a Staph infection. So he

was on IV antibiotics & his normal IVs. It was a

stressful week, but we made it - he was at the hospital

for awhile then at home with the IVs. We were

constantly making sure everything was clean around

him. The staph started under his arm, & we have no

idea how it happened - but we have learned alot more

about staph infections. Austin had a rough time with

this, and has asked "what else can happen?" - I think

this caused him to worry more about his health & his

situation. We are hopeful that Austin will be going

back to school this Fall. We are making plans for

school & will be working out some type of schedule

for his IV meds - We have no idea how this is all going

to happen, but we are going to do all we can to get

Austin back in a normal school setting - for both social

& academics. He misses his friends & daily school life

-he is begging to go back & his friends have been

soooo good to him & include him in every activity

possible. So we are asking for prayers!!! 9th grade is

a big year & will be an adjustment for him - but we are

praying for God's direction & guidance. Austin's

school, First Presbyterian Day School, has been

wonderful to our family. The Administration is doing

everything possible to help Austin with his transition

back into school. The school has ministered to our

family & shown us so much support.
Thanks so much to all of you for your concern &

prayers for our family. There is so much to be thankful

for - God has been so Good to us - even through the

tough times God continues to show Himself to us.

What a GREAT God we have -
Hopefully the next update will be sooner than this one

- Austin always looks forward to reading new

messages - thanks for taking the time to respond. Your

messages really encourage him (the messages

encourage all of us)!! Thanks for all of your love &

prayers for our family.
Much love to you all....
