Hello Everyone,
Well Deanna is now in third grade. She is getting good grades and living the life of a child. Deanna was taken off the last of her medication this spring. In case you forgot or didn't know, Deanna had been taking heart medication since she had congestive heart failure during her second bone marrow transplant. We are final medication free.
We found out today that we are not free of the the side effects caused by the cancer. Deanna had a full psychological evaluation, and they belive that the caner has effected her ability to balance and her fine motor skills. So, we have to be seen by the nuerologist soon to have Deanna cerebellum tested. The psychologist think that the cancer cells may have transmitted chemicals that effected the way the cerebellum recieves messages from the body and thus, causes the problems that we are seeing now.
Despite all of this, Deanna, is able to walk and write well enough to go to school, live normally and enjoy life. Praise G-d.
