Journal
Monday, August 25, 2008 7:16 PM CDT Each day I ache for you, Each morning I wait for you. Each day my feet, Walk the silent streets, And my heart beats alone without you.
Each night, A silent sigh escapes, And the pain I hide, Is for others. So my burden is my own, So that the rest of the world, Can continue unknowingly. Looking past, The sorrow residing deep inside of me.
While my life is beautiful, And joyful. It is likewise torn. Like the worn fabric Of a favorite sweater. Comfortable yet tattered.
So you left me alone here, To live out my life, Only to find you again. But your freedom, Is greater than my pain. My freedom is that, You have been released.
Oh, sweet boy . . . Thank you for living. And teaching me to live. While it's hard without you, You are still me. Connected for eternity.
Happy 8th birthday, best boy. . . we all love you so dearly.
