Welcome to Bella's website. Bella was diagnosed with Stage IIIa Malignant Melanoma at age of 3 on 9/11/03. She had 4 surgeries in Florida with Dr. Reintgen of Lakeland Regional Cancer Center and had 2 sentinel nodes out of 15 nodes that tested positive for Melanoma. The Lord led us to St. Judes Children's Hospital for the best and most experienced care in the world. After getting to St. Jude, all her scans proved her to be NED (no evidence of disease). God has watched over Bella since day one and HIS grace and mercy has been overflowing since. Bella has finished a 1-year treatment of Interferon Alpha 2B with 4 weeks of high dose and 11 months of low dose injections given at home. She finished on October 8, 2004!!! She had her first annual scans and redone October 18th, WHICH PROVED HER TO BE CANCER FREE FOR 1 YEAR!!! Praise the Lord!!! In November, Bella had a baseline PET which was NORMAL and a repeat MRI...NORMAL!!
During Bella's most recent scans at St Jude, the Lord proved HIS continued hand of healing on her. Our team was concerned about what all scans showed to be a swollen lymph node in her left groin. We were told that the docs STRONGLY SUSPECTED malignancy (recurrence). Upon biopsy, it was discovered that Bella actually had an inguinal hernia, which was then surgically repaired. THANK YOU JESUS!! Bella has been cancer free for 20 months!!
Most recent scans at St Jude (1/06) confirmed Bella NED 28 months!! Praise the Lord!! Bella continues to be NED as of July 16, 2007 Click below to read the article in the Wall Street Journal about Bella: CLICK HERE FOR THE Wall Street Journal ARTICLE

Monday, August 25, 2008 2:09 PM CDT We learned early this morning that Mark's dad, Gary Horrocks died suddenly around 5am. We truly believe he is now in the loving arms of Jesus. He was not sick, and in fact had played in a golf tournament the day before. Because of his past heart issues, we believe he had a heart attack. Please continue to pray for our family - especially Mark and his mom, Margaret Horrocks. Mark gets to NY by plane in about 2 hours, and the kids and i are following by car. Thank you, Mylissa Horrocks
