How do I create a CaringBridge website?
Setting up a CaringBridge website is a simple process that takes just a few minutes. Go to www.CaringBridge.org/createwebsite and follow the instructions. A site can also be created from the CaringBridge mobile site, iPhone or Android apps. Create a site for yourself or someone else. Or, start their site and transfer it to them. Multiple authors can help manage a site.
How do I find someone's CaringBridge site?
The author is responsible for providing family and friends with the website name. If you know the site name, you can access the site by entering the site name (lower case and no spaces) into the box under Visit a Website.
There is not a 'search' function on CaringBridge to locate a specific site. One of our top priorities is the security and privacy of the individuals and families who create CaringBridge sites. You must have the site name to be able to visit a CaringBridge site.
What does CaringBridge cost?
It's completely free! As a nonprofit, CaringBridge is solely dedicated to serving families facing a significant health challenge. It is focused on family needs, not on generating profits. CaringBridge is available to anyone for free and our websites do not have any advertising.
What about privacy and security?
- CaringBridge will never sell your information to anyone for any reason.
- To view a CaringBridge website, you must know the specific and unique site name, which helps restrict access to family and friends who have been given that name.
- Site authors can choose to add additional levels of privacy and security, including requiring all visitors to register before they can view the site or requiring a password.
- Authors can update privacy settings to control if visitors can invite others to their community.

Does CaringBridge require special software?
No. CaringBridge is web-based, so all you need is a connection to the Internet. CaringBridge also has a mobile site, iPhone app and Android app.
What if I have a question about how to use CaringBridge?

What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, you can reset it by clicking on the 'Forgot your Password?' link below the password entry box. Enter your e-mail address and click 'Send Link'. This automatically sends a password reset link to the e-mail address you used in registering with CaringBridge.
How is CaringBridge funded?
As a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the CaringBridge service is available – for free - for families because of the generosity of donors. Ninety percent of all funding comes from families who use the CaringBridge program. The last 10 percent comes from organizations that provide donated services and facilities.
