Welcome to Jayden's Web Page. It has been provided to keep people updated with his fight against leukemia.

Jayden was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on May 7, 2003 when he was just a little over 2 years old. He relapsed on February 4, 2004 and had a stem cell transplant in Minnesota on April 7, 2004. He has celebrated his 6th birthday January and his 3 year post transplant date in April. Thank you for visiting his website and for your prayers.

Hello everyone,

I know it has been an awful long time since we updated this site but I guess that is a good thing because it means a whole lot of NORMAL is going on. We are busy playing baseball with alot of tournaments and practice. Jayden did hit his first homerun (a shot into center field)and yeah, as he was running the bases and we were all cheering, I made sure that I thanked GOD for that day. It was such a GREAT MOMENT watching him just be totally normal playing baseball with his friends. We are heading to the little league world series in Steamboat Springs this July for a fun filled week of baseball.
The other thing that keeps us going is his dance schedule. He started dancing with a dance studio called Motion Underground and he does hip hop and breakdancing. He LOVES dance and has been able to perform at a couple of different events. He just danced at the convention center for a group of people that were having a conference there. As we were driving there that day, it was so cute because I looked in the rearview mirror and told Jayden "Hey, this is your first GIG". Pretty good for being 7. As many of you know, he has been a dancer since the very beginning. He could shake his hips better than most of us by the time he was one. He is still shaking his hips although he has added lots of handstands and headstands and tricks like spinning on his head. He absolutely feels the music in his soul and does not have a shy bone in his body. We have been putting a few things on you tube and I'll have Jay add the link (I don't know it right off hand). Anyway, he watches TV on his head, he does his homework on his head, he stops as he's going to the bathroom to stand on his head. Sometimes, he actually gets in trouble because we'll be in the middle of doing something and he turns over onto his head or does his handstands in the middle of it. Sometimes it drives us crazy. Jonah is right there with him doing headstands and handstands and dancing. They actually fight for who gets the dance floor so we have to let them take turns so they both get our full attention. Jonah is getting so big.....way too fast. He is going to be three this September and I keep thinking "where did the last two years go" He is such a funny little guy with quite the outgoing, mischevious little personality. He is truly 2 going on 7. He tries to do everything his big brother does and we can already see the competition between the two. We love the moments where they are laying beside eachother quietly and hugging eachother although they don't happen too often.
Jayden does have to go back this summer for another 8 hour test to see if he is still producing growth hormone. He had this test last year and barely passed so we are praying that he is still growing and doing well on his own. He seems to be growing but we can definitely tell he does not tower over all of his classmates like he used to. Other than that, we are seeing his oncologist once every 6 months and usually see all of his numerous specialists once every 6 months also. This was the first time that we have actually kind of lost track of seeing these doctors which means that we are so not thinking about cancer like we once were. Thank GOD for that.
We are also about to head to our yearly trip to New Mexico to celebrate 4 years in remission. We have about 35 people going this year and are so looking forward to getting away and just relaxing. It is well needed at this point. Many of you know (since so many of you come to see me) that I opened up my own practice in November of last year. We are in our 7th month now and have been so extremely blessed that we have grown so quickly. I have really been enjoying having my own practice and setting my own schedule. We are only there 3 days a week which is perfect and still allows me to feel like I am not living at work. It is wonderful.
We hope all is well with everyone and please drop us a note if you read this.

As we always pray, Please God....contintue to cure Jayden forever....AMEN!!
