Another summer has gone by and I havent been by to visit... so sorry!! I start school on Monday (I know... yuck!) but hopefully I can come visit either one afternoon during the week or on the weekend. =) Maybe I can even bring pictures of my summer trips to Yellowstone, Hume Lake Christian Camp, and Big Sur!

Guess What? Nick passed his driver's training class!! WOW! That took alot of work, 6 months. Now he is working on practicing for the Driver's License and to work on his Eagle Project. Tim just graduated from High School and is working on becoming physically fit for the Navy and has been working with his recruiter calling interested young men that are thinking about joining the Navy. I am proud of both of the boys. ALSO, Lexi got out of the hospital today and is going to be home for a while!!!! She is sooooooo Happy! She got to ride her bike to the mailbox tonight! Your mom sent me the photos of your family on the 4th of July parade. You looked like you were having a great time. Happy Fourth of July!!!! I know how much you enjoy this day and I remember 4 years ago when I came to visit you and you had decorated the backyard with patriotic red, white and blue streamers! It looked so festive! I hope you and your family are enjoying the day celebrating and playing in your beautiful backyard with family and friends. I can see Andres and Elena and Alejandra on the trampoline and playing softball! It sounds so fun when you get to go to the neighbors and swim. This day brings me back to four years ago when I got the phone call from Auntie Maria about your trauma... It has been a long hard road for you my sweet and lovely granddaughter - too hard for me to fully comprehend. Our Lord has been with us at every momement of the day - even when we did not see Him working in your life or think He was with us - He was there and will continue to be there!! He loves you even more than I do (that is hard for me to believe because I love you so much) but I know His love is the most powerful love there is! I enjoy our outings - most recently when we all went to Red Robin for there opening day - that was such fun - especially eating the mud pie!! I love you so much Fernanda and look forward to sharing life together.

Hi Fernanda! It is hard to imagine it has been nearly four years since your life changed so dramatically. It is heart-warming to see your beautiful smile in the picture the day you celebrated your 14th birthday. You are so blessed by God to have parents, family and friends that love you and are able to provide your needs. I pray you know this and can truly be thankful. I miss coming and seeing you and playing my violin for you.
I am teaching music appreciation to about 600 4th and 6th grade students a week in Artesia, teaching violin, piano and cello privately and also teaching Sunday School to pre-school children. I love it!

I've called my mother-in-law and asked her to send healing prayers to Fernanda through her weekly prayer group.
Fernanda is on our minds and on our hearts.
--We pray Fernanda's pain is minimal and manageable. She has suffered enough. Please God take some of the burden of pain from Fernanda during recovery.
--We pray the surgery is successful and meets the objective of allowing Fernanda to enjoy her family from a chair rather than prone in a bed -- So important to feeling part of the activities in the room!
--We pray that Debbie and Jacob and Alejandra can feel at peace with the decision and their worrying is kept to a manageable level. Please God take some of the burden of worry from Fernanda's family that loves her so much!
--We pray that Andres and Elena will be content, reasonable and as understanding as small children can possibly be while their sister recuperates from this detailed surgery and their mommy and daddy need to focus on helping their sister manage during this time.

I am so thankful that Debbi and I ran into Debbie the other day. God can even use my dysfunctional coffee habit for his glory! I just read the latest entry on Fernanda's web page. She is a beautiful child! From this two dimentional picture, I can clearly see her wonderful spirit! She is a true gift from God and she has a very special purpose indeed. I can see it just by looking at her - she transcends her circumstance, and has brought good and faithful people from all over together. I am committing to you both that your precious daughter will be in our prayers continually. Praise the Lord for her! I will make sure you and your family are added to our church's prayer list, and am also sending out an e-mail to my small group members so that we can support you as a group. I will need to do some more research on the wish list to see how best to support you in a tangible way, but we are committed to helping someway, anyway we can. I love you Jake! It has been a thousand years since we were kids, but I always considered you one of the most solid persons I have ever had the privilage to know. Well one day he didn't get out of the car but we saw the truck so we walked over and found out my brother fell out of the car when it was turning!! I'm very glad to hear that you're happy at your new place. That's really neat that Miss Mundon's class got to come and sing to you. Tarah had Miss Mundon. She still says she was one of the best teachers she ever had!! You are in our family's thoughts and prayers all the time.

I am so glad to see that Ryan's snowman put a smile on your face. And a beautiful one at that! It was great to see you last week at your new facility. The people there all seem so ready to help you learn. You looked sassy in your purple jogsuit and your mod hair style. Your friends talked about you non-stop on the way back to school from singing to you. Ryan wrote to Santa and asked for you to recover first on his list and between you and me, he always gets what he wants.

What an exciting past few days this has been!!! It was really neat getting the email from your Aunt Maria about getting the approval to go to rehab. I called your mom right away to share the excitement. Guess what? She hadn't even read Aunt Maria's email...I read it to her over the phone. We laughed about that and praised God together for this miracle.
I can't wait to start getting the updates on how you're doing in rehab. You have worked so hard to get there. God has truly held you in arms. You keep up the good work...you're a miracle in progress!!

We just read the latest entry, Ben is at home today so he was able to hear the good news as well. We are so happy at the good news that Fernanda can go to Rehab, and so grateful at God's provision! All my friends know about you from the artwork "Friends of Fernanda" in the Multi Pupose room.So I was talking to one of my friends and telling her about how you are doing.
