Zach's Page

This web site is designed to keep you informed and Zach encouraged as he goes through his battle with Desmoplastic Round Small Cell Tumor cancer. This is a very rare cancer, around 20 people world wide are diagnosed with this cancer each year. As of July 31,2004 when Zach was diagnosed just a little over 200 people had been diagnosed with it since it was discovered 1989.

A little about Zach.
*Zach is a graduate of Texas A & M Univ. with a Biology Degree.
*He plans to attend medical school at UAMS.
*He wants to be an ER doc at Children's Hospital!
*He is currently employed at UAMS and works in a lab.
*Zach and Dori were married on June 7, 2008

We give thanks to God for all the support
given to us by our family, friends, and church.
Thank you all.

Zach wrote this in the front of his guest sign in book right before surgery, the following is a small part:
"Ever since July 31st I have had a positive attitude about having cancer. I have never been angry, mad, confused, or upset. When Dr. Young, and ever since then, told me about my tumor I thought, OK... God is my Creator, Lord and Savior. He wants me to have cancer, and no matter how it turns out, He is in contol and it is for my good and His glory. All my faith and comfort is in Him and His providence. God has told us "All things work together for the good of those that love Him, who are called according to His purpose." That is God's promise to me and in that my complete trust and comfort rests. I have not, and will not, question or doubt in God!"

Journal

Zach and Dori had a great time in San Francisco. They got back late Sat. night. Zach told us some of the things they did while on their honeymoon: saw the Red Wood Forest, went to Alcataze, went on a boat tour of the Bay (and nearly froze to death), and went to China Town several times. We are glad to have them home. Monday morning bright and early they were both back at their jobs. We pray for God's continued blessings on them as they begin their new life together.
