Hi there Avery,
I know you won't believe me but on Thursday, the kids used their Christmas money to buy a toy poodle, I don't mean a toy that you play with but the type of dog is smaller than the big ones so they call it a toy poodle. Anyway, the dog is brown. First we started thinking CoCo, but we have a friend whose dog is that name, so then we decided on Hershey. No kidding! They said because we had lived in Hershey Pennsylvania that it was a fitting name, plus when he gives kisses those could be called Hershey Kisses. How funny it was when I opened up and read that your new doggie for Christmas is Hershey.
Well, we can't wait to see your family in Disney, only a few weeks away. We are still planning to come. Hopefully the flu and pneumonia, bronchitis and the whole lot will stay far far from us and we can get there and race for your family and for the Camp SAM that has been such a blessing to you all!

Hey Avery- Way to go with your cookie recipe! We love Disney World! Maybe you can give your recipe to Chef Mickey at the Contempory Resort! Aaron will have his final booster treatment on Christmas Eve! What a great present! He was presented his Make-a-Wish last week at the NAIA National Football Championship Banquet.He was given a football that had been signed by Brian Urlacher. We are going to Chicago on the 27th-31st. Whew I was behind and had a lot of reading to do to catch up. I am so sorry to read that you had been in the hospital. I sure hope you are feeling better. We love your Christmas card :) We spent the day at Children's yesterday. They have found a spot in Brock's Superior Vena Cava. They are not sure if it is a blood clot or tumor. We are going to the Cardiologist this afternoon for further testing.

Sounds like everything is getting back to normal at your household (don't laugh Gene Ann!!) At least you all are all home together and Avery is feeling well.
Wish I could have seen you making your gingerbread house... one year I made 30 gingerbread houses and they were the kind you had to make the dough, roll it out, cut into the pieces, bake, then decorate. I had a pingpong table full of gingerbread houses!!
Can't wait to see your Christmas picture. I hope to get our cards in the mail by the end of the week.

It was amazing today! I went to my Mom's group that I go to on Wednesdays and each person I sent your e-mail to couldn't wait to hear a progress report. My oh my, you sure do have one naughty little Elf! I love reading about what she has done & telling Jack & Erin about it. They think Tiffany is very silly!

I hope you can get some answers today about Avery's fevers-not knowing can be so hard but I'm sure it will turn out to be nothing serious.
Jack & Erin have been doing some Christmas shopping and I am under strict orders to get Avery's gift mailed out by the end of this week so keep an eye out for a package from them.

Mr. Anthony the computer tech geek wants to know what surprise he gets for being the 71055 person to visit the site. He and I were sitting on the couch and I was laughing at your potty delerium and he was laughing at how many ways he could cheat and get it to scroll to 80,000 before I was done reading Mommy's column. I swear your Mommy is in the Toastmaster guild but should be writing a column for a New York paper, called the life and times of Avery's Mom. She is so fantastic at keeping up with you and making us laugh at how fun Mommy hood is.
You best not spend much time reading my thoughts because if you do, surely Tiffany will be getting into some mischief. I am not sure how you got such a mischevious (sp) elf. Ours has yet to actually surface, his name is Rocky and Leyana said she saw him under Sophia's special chest this morning, but so far he is hiding good.
Love you all so much, not too long now. We are praying hard for Tina. What happened to Nurse Kelly? A while ago you asked prayer for her and we have been meaning to ask what was wrong and is she okay?

I think Avery Ann is adorable and pray for her complete healing along with her other prayer warriors. I am Meechie Robinson's Sunday School teacher and I thank you for mentioning him as you close each entry. It doesn't look like he will be around too many more days which makes all of us at our little Baptist church very sad. How funny! Leyana is always finding her presents (and I am not crafty enough to come up with quick answers). So this year I got out one of the five Christmas trees for the house and put it up. I started wrapping gifts last week and so far have about fifty under the tree in the downstairs. That way I am not tempted to just give them to her, I also can keep what I got her a secret. Since she can't read I can keep the ledger of who and what in my desk drawer. Pretty cool. I suggest you get the tree up ASAP. I know, it is faux pas for Thanksgiving, but it will save hours of worry!

Gene Ann, My name is Kristie Bell. Our 11 year old son Aaron had an anaplastic ependymoma grade III resected last month. We start raditation at Vanderbilt on Thursday. Avery is such a cutie! I have been reading your caringbridge story and journal. It really helps to know what others are going through. Aaron's caring bridge website name is aaronbell. We lived in Calera when Aaron was born and Chris worked in Inverness @ Rust. Aaron had an unrelated surgery at Children's in Bham when he was six months old. Dr. Grabb performed that procedure. I hope today is a great day for Avery and You too!

It is indeed a magical place especially when you are on a magical wish trip. Going to Disney this way just cant be explained until you have experienced it. I am so happy she is having such a great time. Mom and Dad too!!

Avery, I heard on the news this morning in Louisiana that there was a New Little Princess at Disney World who was in charge of Magic Kingdom in Florida. I knew just who it was!! It's our Avery!! It sure sounds like you all are having the time of your lifes!! The Village and Disney are sooo special to us all. I do have to admit, I hadn't ever heard of a Cajun Pistol. So, I went online and Googled it. When I found out that the recipes said it was a crawdaddy beignet I thought ummmm heaven! Then I left the recipe open and Anthony said he could do for a couple dozen of those and was I planning to make some. I did have to remind him that there are no crawfish, crawdaddy's, or even really good shrimp that come to us in the northern midwest. I admired his encouragement for me to try them, but we simply must make a trip down there.
How are you all doing other than busy? Everyone keeping up the energy for Disney? I can't imagine how wonderful GKTW must truly be, I have seen pictures, visited the site, heard Mrs. Breaux talk of it, and I am enamored. We are praying for health for Avery and Erin and a great time had by all.

Hi Avery - goodness I haven't written in awhile. I need to do better! I am so happy to hear about your good report. You are just a little trooper! I had forgotten that Mommy and Daddy married in September. I still remember how fun the wedding was. I remember all of the girls dancing at the reception. Lauren and Carmen were all over that dance floor while Lee Ann and I and your mommy danced right along. It was a lot of fun. Marshall and I have our 2nd wedding anniversary this Sunday on the 30th. Your Avery Ann is very precious. I try to post on all of the Ependykids sites.My son A.J. (4.5 yrs old) is also an Ependykid. I am glad to see your plans for Disney are coming along. We enjoyed our Wish trip to Disney a couple of years ago. Give Kids The World Village is amazing. Try to spend some time there. We hope to return one day to volunteer our time. I can't believe I haven't signed your guestbook in almost 3 weeks!! We were at the beach for a week, then honestly I have been so upset over Andrew that it has been hard for me to write in all the children's guestbooks.
But you know how much I love you and never a day goes by that I am not thinking and praying for you!!
Wish I could see you in your Princess Fiona outfit...know you absolutely love it and probably give Mommy fits when you have to take it off and become Avery again.
I want to get some shirts so I will have to get that order done. Maybe I will just come to clinic next week to see you all and get them then. Tell Mommy I will email her.
